Psychologist at the University Counseling Center to provide individual, couple, and group counseling to students, faculty and staff. Also includes outreach, consultation, and other duties as assigned. Will also participate in the center's APA approved internship program by serving on the Clinical Training Committee.

 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or School Psychology

  • 24 months as a Counseling Psychologist or School Psychologist.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of psychological theory and practice.
  • Ability to empathize with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to build a rapport with students, faculty and staff.
  • Ability to handle stressful and possible volatile situations.

Certifications:

  • Certification as a Licensed Psychologist by the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners of Psychologist or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire date.

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods. Frequent repetitive motions. Speaking and listening. Standard Office Environment.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Doctorate Degree and ability to obtain Oklahoma State Psychologist License within 18 months of hire.

Supervision: May supervise Psychology Intern and/or student trainees. (1-2)
