Job Description

Job Summary:

The Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day fiscal operation of the Career Strategy Center, handling and/or overseeing all routine financial transactions, entering and editing job postings, and maintaining the CSC’s student and employer database.

Specific Responsibilities:

Oversee the operations of the Career Strategy Center, including updating resources and subscriptions, processing reciprocity requests; updating and maintaining the office manual; and providing customer service. Handling coverage for the CSC front desk when the Program Assistant is out of the office or attending to duties away from the desk.
Responsible for routine financial transactions, such as approving the payment of all bills, reconciling accounts, ordering supplies, and depositing checks. Handle year-end reconciliations and assist with budget forecasting and development.
Responsible for updating electronic student and employer listings and other resources, assisting with job databases, handling mass email correspondence to members of the legal community, and compiling weekly list of legal community events.
Responsible for all on-line job postings including verifying the information in the postings, handling Equal Employment verifications, and editing or manually entering postings as necessary.
Assist with administration of Northwestern Law bridge-to-practice program, handling payroll for participating graduates. Also, assisting with financial duties relating to Loan Repayment Assistance and public interest fellowships.
Performing other duties and assisting with special projects as needed, including assisting with job fairs and receptions, data entry and external communications.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training from which comparable skills can be acquired.
Minimum of 2 years work experience in an administrative or financial capacity.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, time management, and attention to detail skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Must be able to work as a team player.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
