The Records Auditor is primarily responsible for completing the various records-related transactions for which the department is responsible. The Records Auditor is expected to conduct this work to the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, timeliness, and service. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing College of Law Graduate Program records from receipt of completed applications through admission decisions and enrollment. The Records Auditor will review applications packages to ensure the College of Law admissions committee receives accurate and complete information necessary for admissions decisions. Following admissions decisions, the Records Auditor will notify third-party partners and complete a records audit, including transcript and records evaluation and verification.

The Records Auditor will ensure timely fulfillment of transcript and enrollment verification requests, graduation auditing, managing diplomas. The primary measurement of success in this position is the timely and accurate completion of duties, as assessed on daily, weekly, and other bases; engagement in process improvement; and quality of service to students, staff, and faculty. The individual must follow documented processes and established service levels and balance efficiency, service, and accuracy.

Records Auditor will be responsible for the following:

  • Evaluate transcripts and other applications materials.
  • Audit records for graduation and handle diploma requests.
  • Receive and process incoming documents and route to next steps in processes.
  • Process status changes and similar updates to the student record.
  • Identify problems, improvements, and errors and proactively and professionally raise these to the attention of appropriate management. Assist with graduation planning and events.
  • Assist with graduation planning and events.
  • Contribute daily to a collaborative, positive, and supportive work environment.
  • May be expected to work occasional overtime or weekends/evenings in connection with graduation or other program-specific events.
  • Perform other departmental duties as assigned.
 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor Degree, AND: 

  •  36 months experience recruiting students for college programs, student services, or other closely related experience in a higher education environment.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Skills: 

  • Ability to learn and explain the workings of student information systems, content management systems, and web applications at a suitable level of expertise.
  • Previous experience working with or ability to quickly become proficient in using Salesforce, ONE, Canvas, and proprietary software products.
  • Previous experience working with a variety of computer systems and a demonstrated ability to effectively perform routine functions in the MS Office suite.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, faculty, and staff and management of other departments.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional ability to meet deadlines and adjust tasks for maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with others in a diverse organization.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Registrar experience or transcript evaluation experience. 

Supervision:

  • No direct supervisory duties.
