Under the general supervision of the Director Community Based Prevention Services, this position is responsible for support to the Strategic Prevention Framework-Rx Program within the Southwest Prevention Center.

DUTIES:

  • Perform administrative duties in support of substance use prevention projects as assigned.
  • Assist in the collection of data for reports and statistical research.
  • Compile statistical data in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Online outreach and promotion using social media under guidance from project staff.
  • Participate at community and campus meetings, health events, festivals, or activities.
  • Provide community education and outreach services within Cleveland and McClain Counties.
 

Job Requirements

Required Education:  Bachelor's degree, AND: 

  • 36 months of related experience

Equivalent/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months of related experience.

Skills:

  •  Knowledge of project management
  •  Knowledge of accounting process
  •  Highly organized
  •  Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Certifications:

  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Sits for prolonged periods. Communicate effectively. Manual dexterity.
  • Standard office environment.
  • Must be able to complete a thorough employment and/or criminal history check.
  • May be asked to work on evenings or weekends.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Volunteer or paid experience in drug and alcohol prevention, public health, health field or social services
  • Ability and skills to contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment with both members of the project and the department
  • Experience working with community coalitions
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to obtain Certified Prevention Specialist credential within 18 months.
