Job Description

Summary

The Department of Integrative Physiology is seeking a Research Assistant I. The applicant will design and conduct research experiments aimed at deciphering the molecular basis of heart disease. They will collect, analyze, and summarize data, conduct literature searches, make figures, and write parts of research articles. The applicant will provide timely updates to the PI and supervising lab members. 

Job Duties

  • Performs research experiments.
  • Reads and summarizes scientific literature and generates figures to summarize scientific data; writes research articles.
  • Completes all required and assigned training modules and sends weekly updates to the PI and supervising lab members.
  • Maintains a daily lab notebook and maintains inventories of all key reagents generated.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • MSc or MD with 1 year or experience.
