Summary

The Global TB Program (GTB) Senior Coordinator, Research Operations will support program operations for the GTB Research Portfolio – spanning across Asia, Africa, and North America. This includes working in close collaboration with the Senior Program Manager and other GTB team members. The GTB Senior Coordinator, Research Operations is responsible for ensuring that project and team administrative tasks are completed and to provide support to the department by coordinating research operations processes, processing financial related transactions, support external communications (via social medical outlets and advocacy platforms), and liaising with department team members and external partners for operational efficiency.

Job Duties

  • Co-lead creation of and implementation of web-based educational community for TB and TB/HIV training/best practice care and treatment uptake  Coordinates meetings and events – taking & distributing meeting minutes to ensure project plan execution. 
  • Support proposal preparation including budget, programmatic, administrative and scientific materials to NIH, CDC, USAID, StopTB, and other funders as applicable.
  • Assists with preparation of and provide light editing for grant annual reporting and subcontract management by gathering and submitting financial and research data.
  • Maintain team and project specific documentation – ensuring project documents are uploaded on internal intranet site.
  • Preparation of program reports, updates & communications to be shared internal and with external partners (stakeholders, funders, etc.)
  • Coordinate logistics for implementation of GTB educational trainings and learning workshops.
  • Support logistical planning for strategic planning meeting for the Global TB Program and parallel consortium meetings to occur on an annual basis.
  • Monitors financial activity by leading project specific procurements and reconciling expenditures.
  • Reviews expenditures from fund sources to verify accuracy, need, and compliance.
  • Provides support to GTB Principal Investigators, project stakeholders, and country implementing leads for project success.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to ~ 10%.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of global health and development approaches.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment with multiple tasks and short deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needs arise outside of standard working hours to accommodate various time zones.
