The Business Support Specialist reports directly to the Associate Director / Business Operations and is responsible for collecting, logging, and processing transactions such as departmental invoices, accounts payable, foundation expenses, and travel reimbursements for the Athletics Department. Ensures the coding of all expenditures is in accordance with department and university policies, the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act, ACC conference guidelines, and the NCAA's reporting requirements. This position will also be required to track and report payment of expenditures and complete other projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office software such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.

Ability to work in a high volume and fast paced environment, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of University and State financial policies and procedures regarding payment processing and personal reimbursements.
Experience with and demonstrated knowledge of Banner / PeopleSoft / Oracle Fusion Cloud, eVA, Chrome River, TimeClock Plus, and/or workflow systems (OrgSync, ARMS, JumpForward).
Associate's degree or relevant experience in business administration or similar field.
Knowledge of NCAA Division I Bylaws.
Experience working in a Division I Athletic Department.
