Responsibilities
Review applications for the medical school to determine students to be interviewed. Goal is to interview approximately 1000 for Old Westbury, New York and 600 for Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Prepare for and manage interview days; including coordinating and scheduling faculty interviewers.
Represent NYITCOM at local and national recruitment events - targeting pre-med applicants; conduct outreach to targeted recruitment territories, including evening and weekend events.
Conduct presentations to prospective applicants, including on-campus and virtual information sessions, campus tours and off-campus events at colleges and universities to pre-med student clubs, organizations, and honor societies. Prepare progress reports on all recruitment activities.
Coordinate Student Ambassador Program; assist in selection and training of Student Ambassadors and coordinate tour schedules.
Assist in coordination of special admission programs such as the BS/DO pathway programs, Early Interview Programs, and concurrent graduate programs.
Assist Director in the creation and update of admissions marketing materials, publications, recruitment materials and promotional items.
Participate in NYITCOM Student Administration Events (Orientation, Hooding, White Coat Ceremony, and others).
· Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Admissions, 2 - 4 years experience in College Admissions Office
Recruitment 2 - 4 years of admissions recruitment experience.
Knowledge and experience with professional school admissions. Knowledge of admissions recruitment planning. Knowledge of admissions process, educational systems, and requirements for internationally trained students.
Effectively manage staff and high volume process ar a multi campus college . Work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, alumni, and outside constituents. Work independently, effectively, and accurately. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
