Job Description

Summary

The Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Coordinator for day-to-day business operations. The candidate will work alongside physicians, staff, leadership and external vendors. The candidate will complete credentialing, manage purchase orders, place supply orders, run reports in EPIC. In addition, they will monitor expense spending, coordinate department meetings, retreats, events, and perform other job duties as assigned.

Job Duties

  • Provides Support to faculty and staff in the section, including at Baylor Medicine, VAMC, Ben Taub, Baylor Clinic and Main Baylor.
  • Serves as a central contact for the section, including with external vendors.
  • Completes SAP transactions, including manage PO, depositing checks, placing shopping cart requests, and more.
  • Manages credentialing and annual faculty appointments.
  • Assists with onboarding of new faculty and staff.
  • Coordinates department meetings, retreats and annual courses including marketing, strategic planning and logistics.
  • Supports faculty with reimbursements on licenses and travel.
  • Supports Success Factors personnel related transactions.
  • Coordinates with International Services Office regarding visa requests for new employees and visa extensions for current employees.
  • Schedules interviews on behalf of hiring managers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
  • Experience with invoicing, including purchase order management.
  • Experience with scheduling and organizing events and meetings.
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasker.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Works well within a team.
