The Educational Training, Evaluation, Assessment & Measurement (E-TEAM) department at The University of Oklahoma, College of Continuing Education designs research and evaluations to help organizations understand and use information and data to solve real-world problems. Currently, we have an opening for a Financial Associate within our department.

This position is the financial coordinator for the E-TEAM department and is responsibie for providing management,analysis and administration of all financial activities within the department. A high degree of accounting skill, organization flexibility, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and professionalism are the desired qualities for this role.

Duties include:

  • Preparing monthly budget reconciliations for multiple E-TEAM accounts
  • Assuring the proper recording and documentation of financial transactions
  • Prepare scheduled financial reports, analyses, forecasts, and plans in collaboration with the E-TEAM Director of Operations
  • Coordination/running the payroll processing on a bi-weekly and monthly basis
  • Maintaining and updating payroll records
  • Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters.
  • Preparing documentation and gathering approvals for departmental purchases
  • Responsible for processing, preparing, and monitoring departmental travel claims
  • Ability to interpret University policy and State rules/regulations
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor Degree in in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, AND: 

  •  24 months financial, budgeting or accounting experience

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience

Skills:

  • Financial or accounting experience to include analysis, auditing and budgeting
  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service

Certifications:

  •  None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to engage in repetitive motions and communicate effectively

Departmental Preferences:

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance principles
  • Knowledge of University of Oklahoma accounting systems

Supervision: No Supervisory Duties
