CPM is a department within the College of Continuing Education at the University of Oklahoma. We provide public sector agencies, staff, service providers, clients and community partners training, research and consultant support for professional and programmatic development. We deliver cost-effective, customer-oriented solutions that are tailored to meet unique needs and situations.

The position serves as lead developer for the E-Business section of OU-CPM. They assist with business integration, identify emerging technologies, have awareness of system security, oversee and manage development projects, adhere to digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0).

The E-Business section of CPM develops information technology applications and informational websites for various contract partners of the Center for Public Management. This position supports the SATTRN contract, Child Welfare Training contract, and Foster Care and Adoption contract as well as other short term contracts and internal CPM business process applications.

Software applications supported: WordPress websites, (JavaScript es5 and 6 and React), PHP websites, open source Totara and Moodle plug-in development (PHP, CSS and JavaScript), maintenance of legacy visual basic financial system. Database management, SQL and Java.

This position may be eligible for remote or hybrid work.

 

 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND: 

  • 48 months experience in application and software development and/or custom solutions.

Equivalency;Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months related experience.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of software design and programming principles
  • Knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools·       
  • Ability to program in at least one programming language
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong initiative to solve problems

Certifications:

  • None.

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  •  Ability to engage in repetitive motions. Sit for prolonged periods. Manual dexterity. Standard office work environment.

  • 48-60 months leadership experience in a development team
