The University of Oklahoma Career Center is embarking on an exciting period of growth and and we are looking for a Data and Assessment Coordinator to join our team. The role of the Data & Assessment Coordinator is to facilitate ongoing assessment activities for the Career Center, as well as to produce on-demand data reporting for the Director and University stakeholders.

  • Assist staff in design of database management systems
  • Process student surveys to provide up-to-date First Destination data to staff
  • Prepare reports for University leadership as needed
  • Create dashboard (Tableau or PowerBi) for tracking and reporting data/statistics, both for internal and external consumption
  • Facilitate department-level assessment, as well as required division-level assessment of Career Center engagement and activities
  • Gather statistical data and accurately prepare a variety of periodic and special reports related to program and outreach activities and their effectiveness
  • Assist in designing student assessments and manage the administration of various assessments
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise assessment activities
  • Create and administer surveys and coordinate the tabulation and interpretation of survey results
  • Remain current with all new assessment requirements and assessment programs at the department, division, and university levels
  • Update staff on any new technologies available and / or any technology and software changes
  • Provide assistance and training as needed for new staff / current staff in regards to technology and software usage
 

Job Requirements

Required Education:  Bachelors degree, AND: 

  • 24 months experience in computing programming and analysis or in related field

 Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months experience.

Skills:

  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to engage in repetitive motions.  Manual dexterity. Ability to sit for short or extended periods of time.
  • Standard office work environment.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Experience with Data Analysis dashboards, i.e. Tableau or Power BI
