Responsible for the overall operation and administration of a large multi-year project, to include but not limited to accounting duties, financial analysis, and budget and report preparation. Ensures analysis, redesign, planning, and implementing processes are developed, initiated, and supported so that the goals of the project are achieved. Reconciles grant monthly. Uses tracking tools and summarizes project progress for management. Ensures project is tracked and reported appropriately so that investigators have the infrastructure and resources to perform their roles effectively and efficiently; ensures resources are available and applied appropriately to achieve performance goals in a timely manner. Maintains effective internal and external communication regarding project management efforts. Provides administrative support with travel, payroll, and purchase of equipment and supplies. Organizes meetings, events, and special activities, including scheduling, preparation, sending reminders, and coordinating logistics as needed. Oversees record management, including maintaining confidential records and information, electronic, and paper files. Collects and analyzes data and information, and prepares various reports. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelors degree, AND: 

  •  24 months experience as a manager in an Accounting, Finance, or Business Office 

Equivalence Substitution:  Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelors degree for a total of 72 months related experience. 

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Highly organized and ability to handle multiple deadlines in stressful situations. 
  • Ability to communicate well and build rapport with students, faculty and staff. . 
  • Ability to multitasks and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail. 

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Sit for prolonged periods. 
  • Communicate effectively.  
  • Engage in repetitive motion.  
  • Use of computer, calculator, and telephone.  
  • Standard office environment.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Basic data analysis skills and general understanding of database concepts.
  • Skilled in composition and proofreading of correspondence, summaries, and other required reports.
  • Able to produce reports.
  • Optionally Experienced with graphic design (Photoshop or lnDesign)
