The Senior PRMS Project Coordinator coordinates and manages all activities related to the Clinical Trials Office (CTO)’s Protocol Review and Monitoring System (PRMS) which provides internal oversight of the review and progress of all cancer-related clinical trials conducted at the Stephenson Cancer Center. This position ensures analysis, redesign, planning and implementing processes are developed, initiated, and supported to all the department to achieve its financial, quality, and service goals on the project(s). It also ensures all project processes and outcomes are consistent with the vision and values of the department.

Duties:

  • Coordinates all activities related to PRMS functions and processes
  • Interfaces and serves as a liaison with Campus, College and Department researchers and staff to ensure proper submission and review of all applicable research projects
  • Leads the successful implementation of all PRMS processes using basic planning techniques
  • Establish and maintain ongoing compliance with review and documentation processes, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinates schedules, formulates agendas, and takes minutes for all PRMS related meetings
  • Enters data relevant to review process in Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS)
  • Develops and provides training on PRMS processes as needed for committee members and researchers submitting studies for review
  • Responsible for assigned projects and develops planning for the department
  • Maintains department goals, objectives, policies and procedures, to include but not limited to process improvement plans, assist with operating budgets, and project methodology
  • Ensures the department has the infrastructure and resources to perform its role effectively and efficiently
  • Ensures resources are available and applied appropriately to achieve performance goals in a timely manner
  • Uses tracking tools for all projects and summarizes individual project progress to management
  • Maintains effective internal and external communication regarding project management efforts while providing information to management
  • Participates in meetings and committees
  • Assists with the development and implementation of communication plans
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
 

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Healthcare, Public Health or related field.

Experience: 48 months of project management experience.

Equivalency/Substitution Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months of related experience.

Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Basic data analysis and general understanding of database concepts.
  • Ability to organize and work in stressful situations to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical: Sit for prolonged periods. Communicate effectively and listen. Manual dexterity. Use of a computer.
