Summary

Sheth lab is looking for a motivated research technician II to support efforts toward developing an adaptive deep brain stimulation system for treating refractory obsessive-compulsive disorder. This work is part of a large collaborative NIH UH3 clinical trial. Primary roles include neural and video data curation and analysis of neural and video data to better understand the neural pathways underlying positive affect.

Job Duties

  • Synchronizes EEG, LFP, video and audio recordings using existing MATLAB code.
  • Evaluates neural data quality from at home and in clinic recordings.
  • Debugs and improves existing MATLAB audio and video synchronization code.
  • Provides technical assistance to human study participants collecting data at home.
  • Communicates with collaborators that are using neural and video data support their on going projects.
  • Tracks participant data collection at home and work with clinic team to encourage compliance.
  • Contacts and meets with participants regularly to encourage compliance.
  • Helps run in clinic patient testing  during monthly visits.
  • Organizes and improves procedural documentation for on going projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in coding is desired.
  • Experience in MATLAB and neural data analysis is a plus.
