Job Description

Are you an experienced laboratory technician with a background in Chemical Engineering? Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge as part of one of the leading universities in the country?  Do you want to make a difference to world class teaching and research activities and help deliver an excellent learning experience for our students? 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and proactive individual to join our team; working closely with technicians, students and academic staff to support teaching, research and general activities within the Chemical Engineering laboratories.  

Holding a BTEC/HNC or higher in a Chemical Engineering or Chemistry discipline (or equivalent relevant experience), you will have proven experience of working in a research or teaching laboratory environment.   In addition, you will have practical experience on instrumentation associated with Process Engineering including data acquisition and a good working knowledge of laboratory equipment including distillation columns, cooling towers, viscosity baths, fluidised beds, chemical reactors and oscilloscopes.
