Position Description

Westminster Conservatory, the community music school of Rider University invites applications for the Associate Director of Westminster Conservatory. Reporting to the Director of Westminster Conservatory, this individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Conservatory programs.

Specifically, the individual will be responsible for:
  • supervising staff and directing work operations;
  • creating and managing process for scheduling of all private and group lessons;
  • in conjunction with University Marketing and Communications, responsible for the development of a strategic communications plan (in conjunction with the Director of the Conservatory) and coordination of creative development, print production, and distribution processes for Conservatory internal and external communications; and
  • overseeing internal university summer music programs.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in music
  • Three to five years of print production experience
  • Demonstrated effective management/supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal communications, and customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Demonstrated a strong ability to create and manage processes for scheduling private and group lessons in the Princeton location
  • Experience in running summer music programs for college-level student recruitment

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Master’s degree
