Summary

The Senior Coordinator, Patient Support Services is an integral position within the Department of Ophthalmology providing a clear line of sight and direct contact for specific surgical procedures and patient management.  The ideal candidate will interact directly with physicians, patients, and vendors.

Job Duties

  • Directs contact to patients regarding surgical procedures, options, payments and education.
  • Creates surgical schedules to accommodate physician specifications and patient preference.
  • Manages  the in-suite store of products by managing inventory and sales.
  • Orders surgical supplies as warranted to ensure optimal preparation.
  • Schedules calibrations/maintenance, etc, of the refractive laser to ensure full compliance and operation.
  • Prepares reports of sales, surgical conversions, etc as requested.
  • Resolves patient issues regarding customer service, billing, and communication.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Ophthalmology  experience.
