Job Description

Summary

The Senior Coordinator, Patient Support Services is an integral position within the Department of Ophthalmology providing a clear line of sight and direct contact for specific surgical procedures and patient management. The ideal candidate will interact directly with physicians, patients, and vendors.

Job Duties

Directs contact to patients regarding surgical procedures, options, payments and education.
Creates surgical schedules to accommodate physician specifications and patient preference.
Manages the in-suite store of products by managing inventory and sales.
Orders surgical supplies as warranted to ensure optimal preparation.
Schedules calibrations/maintenance, etc, of the refractive laser to ensure full compliance and operation.
Prepares reports of sales, surgical conversions, etc as requested.
Resolves patient issues regarding customer service, billing, and communication.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Ophthalmology experience.
