Position Description

Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), seeks an individual for the position of Head Coach, Men’s Soccer.  This position is responsible for possessing expert knowledge of the game of soccer and in player development. Individual must be able to identify and recruit student athletes and produce a competitive soccer program through the expert use of recruiting, teaching, motivation, practice planning, player development and game strategies and discipline. Position is also responsible for understanding the importance of NCAA rules compliance and for adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations. Additionally, the head coach will be responsible for fundraising, community outreach, academic commitment and overseeing any assistant coaches.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous demonstrated significant and relevant soccer coaching experience; NCAA Division I coaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are essential
