Do you have experience of medical statistics/biostatistics and health data science? Do you have excellent organisational and communication skills? Would you like to work as part of a small, friendly team delivering dentistry-related analytical & methodological research and health data science research on multiple long-term conditions involving oral & dental health?

In this exciting role you will be an important member of the Dental Translation & Clinical Research Unit’s (DenTCRU) team providing statistical leadership and you will contribute to methodological design and medical/biostatistical and health data analysis. You will work closely with the Chair in Translational & Applied health Research and Director of DenTCRU. You will carry out high quality analytical and methodological research alongside student education and contribute towards delivery of the School’s goals in translational research “from bench to patient and back again”.  

The Dental Translation & Clinical Research Unit (DenTCRU) in the School of Dentistry is seeking an enthusiastic team player with a broad background in statistical design and analytics able to support clinical evidence for the effectiveness of oral health treatments including medical devices. 

You will join our team and take responsibility for provision of high quality medical statistical design, analytics, and data mining / data linkage research to advance understanding of the relationship of oral health and systemic health in the context of improving the lives of those people affected by multiple long-term conditions. As you will work closely, interactively, and collaboratively with numerous stakeholders you will need good communication skills with the ability to explain complex methodological approaches in simple manner to non-experts, along with interpersonal and team working skills, with the ability to manage and meet deadlines.
