The Department of Information Systems, Analytics and Supply Chain Management at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor for the Spring 2023 beginning January 23, 2023. This position is to teach the following class:

  • CIS 350 (Practical Business Analytics with Excel) meets every
MW 1:10PM-2:40 PM with a starting day of January 23, 2023

CIS 350 Course Description:
This is a required course for the Business Analytics major/minor. This course will provide the student with an opportunity to gain proficiency in analyzing and visualizing data using Excel. The learning experience includes not only classic tools, such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization, but also more advanced data tools such as descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, predictive analytics, and optimization using Excel Solver.

  • MSD 104 (Introduction to Quantitative Methods) meets every
T 6:30PM-9:30PM with a starting day of January 23, 2023

MSD 104 Course Description
The aim of this course is to give students the preparation in algebra needed for successful completion of other required courses in management sciences and the functional areas of business administration. Topics covered include linear and quadratic equations and functions, systems of linear equations, exponential functions, logarithms, linear inequalities, radicals, percent change, scientific notation and scientific digits.



Position Requirements

The successful candidate should possess a Master’s or advanced degree, and/or equivalent degree/credentials in Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, or Management Sciences, or related field. Demonstrated prior teaching experience in Statistics, Management Sciences, or Business Analytics, and related courses at either the undergraduate or graduate level is required.

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Strong industry experiences in relevant fields and/ or a PhD are a plus.
