Job Description

Description of Duties: Provide leadership for, and collaboration between, College administrative offices, departments, and divisions. Develop innovative solutions in information systems by utilizing system analysis constructs in conjunction with industry best practices and standards. Report directly to the Vice President for Information Technology. Recommend design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide information systems and solutions utilizing structured project management techniques and industry best practices. Manage and evaluate professional and classified employees. Conduct assessments of institutional information systems, including life cycle management. Develop strategic planning and budget preparations related to institutional information systems and technology. Perform oversight of information systems, contractors, subcontractors, and service providers. The position regularly requires PeopleSoft and other third-party programming and coding activities. Responsible for oversight of institutional databases, systems, and changes to information systems Production environments. Collaborate with College faculty, staff, and administrators to foster innovation, efficiencies, and institutional advancements related to information systems and technology. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Participate on College committees and with applicable local/state/national groups as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Information Technology. Supervise professional, classified and part-time employees of Information Technology. Work under limited supervision. Receive training and guidelines from the Vice President for Information Technology.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Education or Technology field. Three years hands-on experience in the designing, development, PeopleSoft-related programming and coding, and/or implementation of application programs or systems, to include the direct supervision of programmers. Demonstrated success in management and oversight of programming staff and information systems development. Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and programming skills. Ability to multi-task, adhere to strict deadlines and be attentive to detail. Ability to display the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Ability to conduct structured approaches to project management. Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping Manual dexterity sufficient to Type. Visual acuity sufficient to identify on-screen images and characters.

Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Education or related field. Five years hands-on experience in the designing, development and/or implementation of application programs or systems, preferably at an institution of higher education. ERP Systems experience is preferred.
