Basic Function:

THE COLLEGE OF APPLIED AND TECHNICAL STUDIES IS SEEKING A DYNAMIC INDIVIDUAL TO LEAD THE GROWTH OF THE ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAM.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT THE TRUMBULL CAMPUS AND SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE EXPECTED TO SERVE ALL LOCATIONS ACTIVE IN THE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM FOR THE COLLEGE.

This faculty member will teach courses in the Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology Associate Degree program, coordinate the degree programs and micro-credentials for the program at the campus, and act as a key contributor to the College's semiconductor education initiative program.

Minimum Qualifications:

MASTER'S IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING OR MASTER'S IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY OR MASTER'S IN ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY WITH A BACHELOR'S IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY. TWO YEARS OF INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Preferred Qualifications – if applicable:

PREFERENCE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS WITH A MICROELECTRONICS BACKGROUND.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
