Summary

The Assistant Director of Philanthropic Operations reports directly to the Executive Director, Philanthropic Operations and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the CRM data, including alumni, trustees, parents, donors, friends, faculty, staff, patients, businesses, foundations, corporations, etc. This also includes the maintenance of data within all other systems and tools other than the central CRM. This person will need to have practical knowledge and competencies to create constituent records and proactively and continuously maintain the integrity of these records. They will need to be able to communicate details to department leadership, members of the research team, database team, gift operations team, development team and the alumni relations team.

Job Duties

  • Performs all data entry tasks on the BCM CRM: creates new constituents, updates biodata, contact info, employment history, interests, awards, and any constituent-related data that serves the fundraising and alumni relations goals.
  • Proactively maintains data accuracy by performing regular data clean-up projects on the database.
  • Lead organization-wide events data management, including managing guest lists and RSVPs in CRM.
  • Conducts research on new constituents to update bio-data and contact info.
  • Liaises with the Prospect Research team on data related to potential donors, including discussing data details with the Prospect Research team.
  • Works closely with the gift processing and report writing teams to maintain the accuracy of data rules and guidelines and suggests adjustments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in non-profit fundraising or similar experience; healthcare fundraising.
  • Strong familiarity with commonly used word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages, preferably Raiser’s Edge or other Blackbaud products.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required. Experience communicating with community stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential materials.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative and team player with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Ability to work across multiple deadlines.
