Job Description

Summary

The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a part-time Student Helper to assist with research focused on the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of conducting genomics research.

Job Duties

Provides general administrative support for the research team by organizing project files, scheduling project activities and meetings.
Provides other administrative support as needed by contacting study participants for reminders and scheduling.
Assists investigators with report and presentation preparation, such as organizing data and drafting slides.
Assists with qualitative data management and analysis.
Communicates regularly via email with the study PI to provide updates.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in bioethics, health policy, genomics and/or related issues.
Team oriented, collaborative mindset with an interest in creating value in any situation with insightful questions and suggestions.
Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills.
