Summary
The Senior Coordinator, Business Operations will provide administrative support for the Chief of Cardiovascular Research. The coordinator will manage the day-to-day processes and meetings for the Section Chief and serve as the liaison between the Chief and his professional contacts. This position requires a highly organized person with computer and internet research skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Job Purpose
Provide support to the department by coordinating financial and business processes, processing personnel related transactions, and liaising with central departments.
Job Duties
• Greets and directs all visitors, including vendors, clients, candidates.
• Answers incoming telephone calls: screens calls, assists caller and/or directs call to appropriate person/department/clinic. Includes answering overflow/backup of clinic telephone calls.
• Types, proofreads, edits and formats all documents to achieve error-free output, including letters and forms.
• Composes letters, and correspondence for self and department head.
• Coordinates and manages calendars with insight into date and time conflicts, confirming appointments day before, reminding faculty appropriately. Lists appointments in both electronic (MS Outlook) and paper calendars.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Excellent scheduling coordination experience and organizational skills.
