Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reports and analysis for the entire college. This position has advanced knowledge of what is needed to assist management, leadership, and all departments in financial analysis for the monthly financial statements. This position conducts moderate to complex financial analysis projects, prepares financial reports, as well as analyzes and presents recommendations to management based on financial reports. This position is responsible for the routine analysis of data, monthly reporting, development of toolsets within various platforms, financial modeling, and special projects to facilitate the decision-making process from staff to executive level. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively with teams. 

 

The position requires experience and knowledge of general healthcare workflow, general accounting, finance concepts, technical language, benchmarking, business modeling, and reporting statistical information in graphical and other presentation formats.

Job Duties

  • This is a central role that is customer service-oriented and has advanced knowledge on all areas of the college.
  • This role works with both internal and external departmental matters.
  • Prepares monthly financial statements.
  • Creates short-term and long-term forecasts.
  • Monitors expenses and financial accounts.
  • Prepares routine and specialized financial reports.
  • Completes projects as requested by management and leadership related to all funding areas and missions within the college.
  • Completes various additional analysis and reporting that is due on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis. 
  • Gathers and organizes data and assists in budget preparation.
  • Works with management, leadership, and departments in completing the budget.
  • Provides technical, financial, and operational support to departments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of relevant experience in complex financial analysis or accounting
  • Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related) or CPA
  • Mastery knowledge of SAP, SQL, and Excel, healthcare-specific knowledge
