Job Description

The Centre for Cultural Value is a national research centre based at the University of Leeds. We want cultural policy to be shaped by rigorous research and evaluation of what works and what needs to change. We work with funders and policymakers to share relevant research, identify gaps in knowledge and offer recommendations to inform future policymaking.

We are looking to appoint a Policy Officer to support the development and strengthening of our relationships with cultural policy stakeholders, including Leeds City Council, and maximise the policy impact of existing and new research led by the Centre for Cultural Value.

You will work within the small Centre for Cultural Value team and collaborate closely with our policy partner Culture Commons to ensure our research is integrated into key policy development cycles. This will include undertaking a placement with the Head of Culture Programmes’ team at Leeds City Council for a total of 24 days. During this time, you will consult on and model effective methods of policy engagement between the Centre and Leeds City Council, ensuring meaningful measurements of cultural impact are integrated into policy making.
