We examine the impact of race and socio-economic status on classroom equity, student self-esteem, and empowerment/ disempowerment. We also investigate critical thinking, creativity, and reflection, while beginning to learn how to create developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate learning activities and assessments.
