Immunology Center of Georgia invites applications for a tenure eligible position at the Associate Professor or Professor level within the broad field of immunology. While all areas of immunology are of interest, applicants in the fields of mucosal immunity, autoimmunity, tumor immunology, and infectious disease are encouraged to apply. Research interest can be in any of the following disease areas: cancer immunology, autoimmune disease, vascular immunology, and leukemia/lymphoma immunology. Additionally, immunology research areas are T cell biology, checkpoint inhibitors, engineered immune cells of any type, antigen presentation and DC biology, ADCC, Fc receptors, complement, and monocyte and macrophage biology. The successful candidate will have current funding equivalent to at least two R01 grants that are active until at least 2025.

Responsibilities
*Expected to maintain continuous NIH funding

*Expected to train graduate students and postdocs

*Participate on IMMCG & AU committees

*Possibly teach advanced class in Immunology

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Ph.D., MD, or Ph.D./MD from an accredited college or university

Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.

Professor- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.

Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be:

Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation.
Evidence of ability as a teacher.
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned.
Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements).
Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round.

The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.

Associate Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
