Job Summary
Provides professional administrative support to neuroscience program director and faculty. Provides administrative support to the college by answering, screening and routing phone calls; greeting and assisting visitors; creating and maintaining office files. Answers questions for students, faculty and staff concerning general campus policies and program requirements as well as assisting with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:

Administrative Support - Provide administrative support to neuroscience program director and neuroscience faculty as needed. Answer, screen, and route phone calls; direct students to program director and neuroscience faculty as needed. Maintain program records; maintain and verify program expenditures; coordinate equipment and work orders; coordinate purchases of equipment and office supplies; assist with course scheduling; maintain personnel records. Provide administrative support as needed in the CSM Leadership suite: greeting and assisting visitors to the suite, answering phone calls to the main phone line, providing directions, and answering questions from students, faculty, staff, and visitors concerning programs, policies, and procedures.

Manage timesheets and records - Manage timesheets and records for neuroscience program student employees.

Gather information and summarize - Gather information and summarize relevant to program activities including budget and instructional area.

Customer Service - Provide customer service to students fin the neuroscience program including managing questions, requests and registration activities.

Other - Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions
OR
High school diploma or GED and six years of progressively responsible experience in administration support positions.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with academic environment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases

SKILLS
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday
Pay Grade: 10
Salary: Minimum $15.00/hour - $17.03/hour
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
