College/Department Information
Cyber Center offers several options for those seeking educational opportunities in the cybersecurity field. In partnership with Augusta University and Augusta Technical College, the center is linked to certificate programs as well as undergraduate- and graduate-level programs in cybersecurity and cyber sciences. Offerings include both on-site and virtual courses. In addition, the Cyber Workforce Academy offers training for state and local government information security professionals.

Job Summary
The Cyber Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial, operational, and business systems of the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center, to include data analysis, budget and income projections, account reconciliations, and day-to-day financial processing. This position will provide direct support to the Director, Business Operations, Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center.

Responsibilities
Cyber Business Analysis
Responsible for assimilation and analysis of fiscal data for the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center as needed to support the Director, Business Operations, Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center, to include the use of complex spreadsheets, databases, and query writing. Manage revenue tracking and billing for all sales generated by the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center, ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting and USG policies and procedures. Identify trends, revenue projections, and available funding opportunities within multiple areas of the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center. Identify inefficiencies and bring innovative and creative ideas to leadership for continuous improvement of business operations.

Financial:
Responsible for preparation, verification and submission of information in the form of check requests, cost transfers, budget transfer requests, requisitions, and various financial tasks, utilizing knowledge of budget and funding requirements. Process timely reconciliations of financial accounts, resolving errors and findings in a timely manner. Maintain all applicable backup to ensure audit-worthy financials, serve as P-Card holder for operational unit, to include tracking and all associated responsibilities.

Operational:
Assist with management of building operations for all Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center partners involved, to include governmental agencies, private industry partners, and academic institutions. Assist with creation of and updates to operational policies and procedures as needed for the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center. Work closely with Director, Business Operations, Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center in developing necessary tools to ensure policy implementation. Collaborate with each unit of the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center executive group, Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center Resident partners, and key leadership to meet the mission and vision of the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center. Incorporate operational needs into daily activities to support all areas. Develop workflow charts and programs as needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting, business management, or financial related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years demonstrated financial management experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial Systems
  • Self-motivated desire to learn
  • Experience in process / policy writing

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and other software/databases
  • Ability to gather, review, and analyze financial and operational data
  • Strung analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and make responsible decisions
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

    Shift/Salary/Benefits:
    Shift Days; Monday-Friday

    Pay Grade: 18

    Salary: Minimum $48,341/year - Midpoint $65,000/year
    Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
