Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Admissions Communications leads, manages, and implements the admissions communications plans (e.g., email, text, web, social, calling strategies, event communication, and surveys) to recruit freshmen, transfer, dual-enrolled, and transient students interested in majors in Augusta University's seven undergraduate academic colleges. The Assistant Director supports the enrollment goals of the university by distributing and tracking mass communication efforts targeted to prospective students, tracks prospective student engagement, conducts recruitment data analysis, manages contacts, and generates reports. The Assistant Director executes these strategic communications through managing the Admissions Customer Relations Management System (CRM), Slate by Technolutions. The incumbent for this position will also manage front-line customer service in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and provide supervision to a Student Service Specialist 1 and Federal Work Study Students.

Responsibilities
Manage CRM, Slate - 40%
Develops, schedules, and executes targeted communication campaigns to prospective students to recruit and enroll them in Augusta University. Trains admissions staff, including professional and student staff, in the CRM regarding student records, all inbound and outbound communications with students, travel, and recruitment analysis for Admissions Counselors and all other forms of communication, both into and out of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Compiles and analyzes admissions data related to demographic characteristics, frequency of contact, program of study, etc. Determines multi-level yield analysis which assists the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in developing new student projection models. Manage analytics and reporting for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Collaborates regularly with vendors such as Ruffalo-Noel Levitz, Cappex, Technolutions, and our Banner IT team on emerging technologies.

Manages the student telecounseling program - 25%
Plans and implements outreach calling campaigns for undergraduate prospects. Supervises and trains student staff to assist prospective students and their families throughout the college transition process. Maintains telecounseling data to track calls made, completed, prospect interest levels, and success.

Customer Service Management - 20%
Coordinates inbound inquiries, phone calls, walk-ins, and customer service while supervising a Student Services Specialist 1 and Federal Work Study Students.

Website Management - 10%
Leads strategic management and maintenance of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions website, including updating and maintaining website, working with system experts on the development and testing of web enhancements, and analyzing and interpreting web analytics to guide decision making.

Admissions Counseling - 5%
Serves as an on-site admissions counselor by advising prospective students, families, and the general public to recruit students to Augusta University. Assists with admissions recruitment and special events both on-site and off-site. Monitors, tracks, distributes, and, when appropriate, answers incoming emails from prospective students, family members and high school/community college counselors.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University with a Minimum of two years of experience in recruitment, marketing, customer service, or higher education. AND Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with CRM software or software that uses conditional merge and filtering functions, preferably Slate. Familiarity with a higher education environment. Understanding of the mission of Augusta University and its audiences. Enthusiasm for staying up to date on higher education trends and communication strategies. Advanced skills in Excel of data visualization platforms. Experience in email marketing, managing web content and analytics and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and student body. Ability to multitask and think critically. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Solid writing and copy-editing skills. Knowledge of basic style guides such as AP and Chicago Manual of style. Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems, as well as basic knowledge of HTML. Ability to compile and analyze data, assess, and make subsequent recommendations and decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational skills, planning, and project management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days Mon-Fri. *Work outside of normal business hours may be required.*
Pay Grade: 15
Salary Minimum: $38,913- $52,533 Annually.
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

The Human Resources Division will request a driver's history report for the identified top candidate(s) for this position. We will initiate this through our Background Check Vendor; this report will come from the Department of Motor Vehicles. The selected candidate must have a valid driver's license.
