Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the direction, organization, and evaluation process of the education, research, and service activities of the department.
• Teach graduate courses.
• Serve on and chair masters and doctoral committees.
• Develop and sustain an active portfolio of extramurally funded research.
• Conduct research and disseminate findings to the academic, professional, and local communities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and/or other appropriate University authority.

Required

• Doctoral degree (Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Science, or Doctor of Public Health) in environmental health, industrial hygiene, environmental science, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, ergonomics, or a closely related field such as applied physical science, toxicology, microbiology, molecular biology
• Record of publications in peer-reviewed national or international scholarly journals.
• Evidence of potential to obtain extramural funding.
• For the rank of Associate Professor, a history of external research funding.

Preferences (Not Required)

• Record of teaching at the graduate level.
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential, or eligibility to take the certification examination for the CIH credential within three years of hire.
