Summary

The Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a senior clinical operations associate to support the clinical operations within the department by providing administrative oversight and management of the department’s community clinics outside the Texas Medical Center (TMC).  In addition, the selected candidate will ensure the clinics are highly functioning with highest level patient satisfaction scores and quality.  The selected candidate will also oversee the clinical staff engagement activities and support retention (and morale) efforts through the development and implementation of recognition programs. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, motivated, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment.  

Job Duties

  • Provides leadership, oversight, and guidance to ambulatory/clinical sites outside the Texas Medical Center (TMC). 
  • Oversees effective execution and achieving successful metrics for: patient satisfaction, MyChart Activation, clinical practice flow (patient treatment and communications, the capture of clinical information and sharing with patients, families [HIPAA-compliant] and referring/consulting physicians, and proper coding and charging of services. 
  • Helps integrate department clinical practice best practices across all ambulatory sites. 
  • Supports the clinical director with ambulatory staff oversight, including hiring, staff management, and workflows. 
  • Conducts employee engagement activities and recognition programs. 
  • Organizes and prepares decision support data and reports for leadership review. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • Four years of relevant experience.
