Job Description

Summary

The Molecular Neurobiology Group at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated student to work with our lab in developing as well as organizing scientific data and teaching materials for public dissemination. The lab utilizes a variety of platforms for building illustrative work including Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics, Adobe Photoshop for bitmap, and PremierPro for video as well as 3D rendering programs including Solidworks and Blender. Our work is focused on the nervous system, developmental and infant diseases as well as genetic engineering, bio- and electrical- engineering.

Job Duties

  • Works closely with a Senior scientist to develop new videos surrounding our work in behavior and physiology suitable for teaching and social media as well as improving our lab's videography capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, demonstrate proficient time management skills, demonstrate effective communication skills, and have a proficient ability to work independently with limited supervision in a team environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in: Effective filming with variety of basic camera equipment (For example a Nikon D850 or similar DSLR, GoPro 11, iPhone 14 etc.) Lighting and framing Video editing in PremierPro with text overlays, highlights, and call outs
