Summary

The Office of Accreditation and Education Effectiveness is looking for a Project Manager responsible for managing projects and supporting quality improvement initiatives for the College’s accreditation compliance program. This position will assist in organizing and coordinating an effective and efficient Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) accreditation process for the College and assist with accreditation projects for the School of Health Professions (the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA), the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, the National Commission on Prosthetic and Orthotic Education (NCOPE), and the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC)), including site visits. 

The project manager will work under the direction of the Senior Manager of the Office of Accreditation. The ideal candidate should have project management skills (example: project planning, timeline, metrics, and process mapping). Familiarity with accreditation preferred. The candidate must have the ability to work with various computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This is a hybrid position. After 3 months of successful completion of training, Candidate may transition to a hybrid schedule.

Job Duties

  • Assists with monitoring accreditation standards (including SACSCOC, CAAAHEP ARC-PA, COA, NCOPE, and ACGC) and work with appropriate faculty and staff to ensure compliance, including ongoing quality improvement and preparation for the institutional self-study and accreditation site visit. 
  • Assists in organizing self-studies including, but not limited to, arranging meetings, developing preparation materials, and conducting mock site visits.
  • Analyzes trends, outcomes, strengths, and weaknesses of key metrics related to accreditation. 
  • Supports self-study report writing and editing. 
  • Develops and provides timelines as necessary to departments, work groups, and faculty for survey readiness and compliance. 
  • Continuously reviews accreditation requirements and updates internal processes and forms to ensure compliance. 
  • Assists with the college’s degree programs on CQI processes. 
  • Assists with the college’s programs on site visits. 
  • Assists with staff training, support and oversight of accreditation-related initiatives and data collection systems. 
  • Plans, executes, and manages a variety of projects to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. 
  • Recommends development and modification of University-wide policies and procedures as needed.
  • Attends career development activities as it pertains to accreditation and reports outcomes to key faculty/staff.
  • May prepare or participate in the preparation of IRB proposals, abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation as required. 
  • Assists in the design and maintenance for the office web pages.
  • Serves on relevant BCM committees as needed and assigned. 
  • Facilitates and communicates with project team members, as well as coordinate with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure proper documentation (agendas, minutes, project plans, presentations, etc.) is complete, timely, accurate, and in accordance with our standards and policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, health administration, or related field.
  • Four years of related experience. 
  • Certification PMP (Project Management Professional) or SPM (Strategic Project Management).
  • Previous experience with accreditation.
  • One to two years of project management experience.
  • Experience in high education/healthcare.
