Job Description

Summary

The position involves participation in clinical studies of long-term outcome after a traumatic brain injury that are funded by NIH and Department of Defense. The coordinator will help with recruitment of potential subjects, determining eligibility and then obtain consent from eligible subjects. Then the coordinator will arrange for the subject to either have a telephone interview or arrange for the subject to come in for an in person visit that would include an interview, neuropsychological testing, a blood draw, and an MRI. Data collected during the visit is then entered into the study database.

Job Duties

  • Maintains records and regulatory documents for research study
  • Schedules research participant for tests, procedures and other study specifics procedures in research protocols
  • Retrieves and submits test results to the appropriate party
  • Orders and maintains supplies and equipment
  • Performs other job duties as assigned
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of research study protocols, which may include corresponding, screening, enrollment and monitoring of participants to gather statistical information for the database
  • Collects patient information, processes documents and enters research study information into a database.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proficient in communication, including writing and very good to excellent computer skills using software for statistics, figures, and spreadsheets.
