Summary

Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the Wex/SAP systems to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information and employees with accurate payroll deductions. Partners with internal and external teams to understand business requirements around HR’s Information Systems and Reporting Landscape to independently identify, develop, configure, and deliver the required solutions. Serves as the business lead in partnership with Information Technology staff to build and maintain systems that supports the College’s strategic and operational objectives. 

Job Duties

  • Compiles, analyzes, and reports data including employee plan financials for strategic benefits planning and evaluation. 
  • Monitors eligibility, limitations, and restrictions of plan participations and ensures compliance with both plan provisions and government requirements.
  • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data like employee data carriers and process life status changes; Maintains data integrity by designing and running controls and resolving inconsistencies.
  • Assists in the process of determining employee benefit interests by conducting employee surveys; forming focus groups; analyzing responses.
  • Responsible for data necessary to complete government compliance activities (5500s, audits, etc.).
  • Assists with answering questions in regard to all employee benefits and supports escalated employee concerns to ensure consistency of plan interpretation and administration.
  • Designs, develops and analyzes custom solutions and reports for internal users and external users using advanced techniques and solutions; Oversees regulatory reporting for the College.
  • Assists with new-hire record processing; identify & resolve issues preventing new hires from enrolling for benefits
  • Assists employees regarding benefits plan changes or enrollment/access issues in WEX.
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries from a systems perspective.
  • Responds to retirement plan inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts from a systems perspective.
  • Assists with the open enrollment process – system updates, communications, vendor files, intranet updates.
  • Administers the tuition reimbursement program and related benefits programs (i.e., adoption assistance, faculty children’s reimbursement program, etc).
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Assures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulation.
  • Collaborates with WEX on COBRA process
  • Develops and executes batch processes for the College’s large-scale transitions and HR data projects.
  • Trains users and provides guidance on system functionality.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves system issues.
  • Responds to ServiceNow requests.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Six years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of SAP, SuccessFactors, BenefitExpress/WEX or similar benefits platform with reporting experience, electronic carrier interface files, advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Data Tables/Graphs).
  • Detailed oriented and organized, a good listener, have strong written and oral communication skills with various levels of employee interactions, able to manage various tasks simultaneously, have good vendor/customer relations skills.
