Provide technical and general support for the CIO’s “One Device” initiative/project. The DxS Technical Services department will be replacing faculty/staff desktops and old laptops with a high-end laptop and docking station to ensure mobility and flexibility within the workplace. This project will be carried out across multiple campuses. Employees will learn, carryout, and assist with daily tasks such as inventory, surplus/salvage processing of old equipment, new device BIOS configuration, reformat and bare metal operating system imaging, docking station setup, software, printer & peripheral installation, and cable management. This position will report directly to the manager, team lead, and/or technicians as needed to complete the project and other assignments as needed.

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

· Work within the ticketing system, adding notes and attachments as needed.

· Assist with customer facing situations ... troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for faculty/staff as well as events.

· Answers questions and direct faculty, and staff to appropriate resources when inquiries are made in person or by phone.

· Troubleshoot hardware, software and network connectivity problems on campus, equipment configuration, asset inventory, and basic record-keeping of job activities.

· Maintain organization and cleanliness of the office and workbenches, which may include cleaning, vacuuming, recycling of boxes and packaging materials.

· Bench stock inventory and reporting.

· Transport, setup, security, and cable wrap of equipment.

· Assist with asset handling for surplus, salvage, moves, etc. under the supervision of the Asset Manager and other OTS staff as needed.

· Assist other OTS teams as needed.

· Event support including equipment handouts, setup, teardown, moves, repairs.

· Software and hardware installation and/or upgrades.

· Imaging PC & Mac desktops, laptops, and tablets.

· Operating system deployments and upgrades.

Required Qualifications

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

· Should be pursuing or interested in pursuing an IT-related vocation.

· Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, work with minimal supervision.

· Successfully completed IS101 or equivalent course or study. Basic knowledge of computers, office applications, and Internet skills (additional training will be provided).

· Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendar, Internet searching.

· Able to physically transport and maintain equipment including under desks.

· Able to lift and transport 25-50+ lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.

· Smile and be productive in your work.

· Maintain academic standing, if applicable, in order to maintain employment.

Preferred Qualifications

· MTA, CompTIA (A+, Network+, Cloud+, Security+), ACMT, HDI, etc.

· Letter of reference from faculty
