Job Description

The College of Southern Nevada Coyotes athletics department is looking for an upbeat, professional, and articulate Public Address Announcer for the 2023 Coyote Baseball season. The position will add to the overall fan experience by serving as the in-stadium voice for Southern Nevada Coyotes home baseball games.  The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and professional individual who is passionate about sports and has a strong voice and presence.  Applicant must be highly motivated, organized and able to multi-task while working under pressure.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as Public Address Announcer with the ability to project and enunciate clearly over a microphone in front of a large crowd.

  • Announce all in-game action including but not limited to: lineups, pre-game activities, and in-game promotions.

  • Display a positive and professional demeanor while representing the Southern Nevada Coyotes.

Desired Qualifications

  • Must have) A pleasant and well-controlled voice, effective timing, and excellent pronunciation.

  • Experience announcing at live sporting events (baseball preferred).

  • Previous Public Address or vocal broadcasting experience.

  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills, including superior attention to detail.

  • Must have a passion for sports and multimedia storytelling.

  • General knowledge and understanding of baseball including rules, positions, and terminology.

  • Must be able to take direction and adjust quickly in fast-paced situations.

  • Ability to work well with others.

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work all Coyote home games and other events to include weekdays & nights, weekends and holidays

  • 6-7 hour shifts on game days, typically beginning 1 -2 hours prior to First Pitch

  • This is a Part-Time position (Game Days / Coyote Events)

Compensation

  • This is a part time job, and will be paid at a rate of $50.00 per game.
