Summary

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Scoliosis at Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) in collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is looking for a current med student or recent grad to fill our research coordinator position. This is an opportunity to work side-by-side with TCH paediatric orthopaedic surgeons, physicians and researchers. This position will expand your knowledge and exposure to the field of paediatric orthopaedics and become involved in high-quality clinical and/or basic science research

Job Duties

  • Participate in research activities which may include: subject recruitment, confirmation of subject eligibility, informed consent process, completion of case report forms, data clarification, IRB preparations and medical record abstraction.
  • Assist physicians/APPs/staff with preparing manuscripts, making presentation slides and posters, conducting literature reviews, updating study databases, and taking photographs in a clinical and operative setting.
  • Manuscript preparation may include: writing, referencing, editing, basic medical illustrating, statistical analysis, creating tables and charts, and preparing submissions for publication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
