Summary

The Financial Specialist is responsible for managing a variety of revenue-related and financial duties and reports to the Director of Finance and Administration. You will work in administration, finance, human resources and on other related special projects.

This is a regular, non exempt, full-time two-year limited-term appointment and carries with it the standard University of Michigan benefits and paid time off. The working location will be a flexible hybrid arrangement, with being on-site 3 times a week at UMMA.

Responsibilities*

On a monthly basis, reviews and verifies transactions, classifications, and monitors departmental accounts with the University Statement of Activity Reports.
Will enter vouchers and PO requests into the M-Pathways system.
Will manage Accounts Receivables and prepare invoices, and aging reports.
Collaborate with the Business Office to complete all human resources transactions for the Museum, and other UMMA staff to hire student interns.
Work with the University's Shared Services Center (SSC) to resolve problems as needed.
Order and maintain office supplies, depositing earned revenue funds and other special projects as needed
You will be asked to create partnerships across departments and to align financial, administrative and HR experience strategies with UMMA's institutional vision.
Required Qualifications*

High School Diploma or equivalent education and 1+ years of financial experience
Demonstrated professional business experience in a customer service position or previous experience in an administrative capacity.
Proficiency in Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and filtering
Proficiency in other Microsoft Office Apps, and Google Suite
