Job Description

Summary

The Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics is looking for a Senior Project Management Associate responsible for the organization and project management of broad-based department initiatives. The project manager will work under the direction of the Division Chief along with division administration. The ideal candidate should have project management skills (example: project planning, timeline, metrics, and process mapping). Familiarity with healthcare operations and analyzing / interpreting quality and financial data. Applicant must have the ability to work with various computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Job Duties

  • Manages projects to ensure implementation and prescribe activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
  • Prepare and analyze project metrics and assist in background research as needed.
  • Serve as the representative and as a participating member of designated committees and task forces.
  • Facilitate and communicate with project team members, as well as coordinate with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure proper documentation (agendas, minutes, project plans, presentations, etc.) is complete, timely, accurate, and in accordance with our standards and policies.
  • Manages projects delegated by leadership including, but not limited to, business planning and development, strategic planning, financial analysis, development of affiliations and contracts, medical staffing, facilities planning and construction, and operations planning and development.
  • Monitors progress against plan and budget. When necessary, adjusts plan with approval of project sponsors.
  • Analyzes issues and data related to projects and presents findings to leadership for effective decision-making.
  • Follows-up during and after assignments to evaluate the effectiveness of the project.
  • Serve as a project manager for various multifaceted strategic and business-related projects.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification PMP (Project Management Professional) or SPM (Strategic Project Management)
