JOB SUMMARY:
The Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Research Program (WiSOR) is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to support our rapidly growing program. WiSOR is an interdisciplinary, multi-investigator research program that supports a wide variety of outcomes-focused research, including health care disparities, comparative effectiveness research, patterns of care, and performance and safety in surgical care. The mission of WiSOR is to improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of surgical care through research and innovation. This position will play a vital role in advancing this mission. In addition to providing executive support to the WiSOR faculty directors, this position will provide general administrative support to WiSOR and the WiSOR Assistant Director. An ideal candidate will have great organizational skills, is able to prioritize, and is flexible to accommodate a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides administrative support for a department, group of professionals, or to the manager of a work group consisting of professional staff and subordinate supervisors in support of unit goals, under general supervision
70% Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations
5% Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities
5% Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums
10% Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision
10% Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures
