Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Northeast Conference (field hockey only), seeks an individual for the position of Head Coach for Women’s Field Hockey.  The position will plan and organize all phases of this NCAA Division I program.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, recruiting, scouting, player development, practice planning, game planning, fundraising, community outreach, academic advising, and overseeing program assistants. 

Position Requirements

Qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree is preferred, and three to five years coaching women’s field hockey. Must also be able to recruit, instruct and motivate student-athletes.  Candidates must demonstrate being well-organized with excellent interpersonal and computer skills.  Demonstrated strength with recruiting contacts in the Northeast Region and a strong knowledge of, and willingness to comply with, all NCAA, NEC and University rules and regulations is required. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.  

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Demonstrated success with previous coaching and/or playing experience are greatly preferred.
