Job Description

Salary: Grade 7 (£35,333 - £42,155 p.a. depending on experience) 

This role will be based on the University campus. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you a Building Services professional, with a good understanding of Mechanical and Electrical services?  Are you passionate about electrical and mechanical engineering services and keen to make a positive contribution?  The University is looking to recruit M&E Clerk of Works to ensure we are delivering fit for purpose building services.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will carry out a key role in ensuring quality standards and compliance of Mechanical and Electrical building services installations for a range of new buildings, refurbishments and maintenance schemes. On a daily basis you will act as the University’s site engineering contact for mechanical and electrical installations. You will be required to work with other services across Estate Services as well as overseeing the work of contractors on site to ensure installations comply with agreed standards and policies. You will also act as a technical ambassador for your discipline and contribute to developing standards for Mechanical and Electrical building services across the University.
