Job Summary
This position provides technical and analytical support to the Registrar's Office, with particular emphasis on data integrity, reporting, best practices, process streamlining, training, and documentation as they relate to Banner Student, Degree Works, and Crystal. Assists in developing processes to help ensure security and accuracy of the student database and that the full functionality of Banner Student is being utilized. Programs/scribes student degree audits within Degree Works and maintains Degree Works tables to ensure accuracy of data. Is proactive and stays current with best practices, system defects, and software upgrades. Develops documentation and provides training to faculty and staff as needed on Banner, web based products and processes. Serves as member of the Management Team for the Registrar's Office, Implementation Team for software upgrades and installations, and the cross-divisional Technical Committee.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Provides technical support to the design and implementation of systems that enhance access to student information, streamline processes, and improve delivery of services to all stakeholders from the Office of the Registrar.
Serve as liaison for all testing, updates, releases requiring coordination between the office and ITS.
Organize testing and upgrades for the student systems as they relate to the office, including writing and maintaining test plans.
Mange and coordinate the planning, development, implementation, documentation, administration, and maintenance of the Degree Audit System for the University.
Oversee the definition and maintenance of the degree audit system and content for all of the academic requirements including the general education requirements, departmental requirements, and University requirements, including all undergraduate, graduate, professional, and post-professional level programs.
Serve as main contact for the University's customers using the degree unit system; assists them with knowledge of the degree audit system and provides support if any problems with encoding, exceptions, curriculum and/or degree programs arise.
Consult and advise students, faculty, and staff on issues involving academic policy and degree progress.
Touble-shoot issues for functional users both within and outside the Office of the University Registrar in Banner, Degree Works, and other applications related to the unit functions.
Streamline processes and improve delivery of services by managing departmental SOPs and instructions.
Provide assistance to Registrar with constant view of processes offered by the Registrar's Office and supervise technical improvement.
Review exceptions to University policies and/or procedures and contribute to defining processes for ongoing exceptions to routine procedures.
Make recommendations and develop implementation plans for the automation of Registrar processes as dictated by the research.
Collaborate with ITS to develop custom WorkFlows to aid in the efficiency of office procedures.
Update website content to ensure information listed is up to date.
Mange the required audits of all student system users for separation of duties, user provisioned access meets required job duties, and all TRA account requirements.
Create, maintain, and audit student system accounts.
Defines policies and procedures for access to data, including the criteria for authorization based on role and/or the individual.
Develop and monitor data integrity standards for all student related data.
All other duties as assigned by the AVP for Enrollment Services.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in higher education setting
OR
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of related experience to include three years of experience in higher education setting. Knowledge and awareness of the operations of a post-secondary institution. Experience with student information system and the ability to develop processes and utilize technology to increase efficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal, organizing/planning skills, and communication skills; Comprehensive knowledge of Registrar processes from enrollment to graduation; experience in planning, documenting and implementing processes. Familiarity with FERPA.

Knowledge of the principles, policies and techniques of educational administration; thorough knowledge of University policies and procedures related to AU; thorough knowledge of USG rules and regulations. Knowledge of integrated information systems.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Grade: 18

Salary: Minimum $48,341.00/Annually - $62,699.00/Annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
