Who Are We?

The School of Dentistry (SoD) Dental Informatics IT department is looking for you to join our team, reporting to the Assistant Director of IT Programs. We have an exciting opportunity for a BSA Intermediate. In this role, you will partner with School of Dentistry users to support our Electronic Health Record (EHR), work through school-initiated projects to enhance systems, and work directly with our users to understand their long-term needs. Our organization supports faculty, staff, and students to further SoD’s mission of “Advancing health through education, service, research, and discovery.” Our unique profession allows us to engage with our customers on several levels through teaching, learning, research, healthcare, and administration. We operate within numerous health clinics, classrooms, and research labs, allowing us to support a diverse IT ecosystem. What You’ll Do:

You will be able to work as a part of our project team to obtain certifications, build, implement, and support the Epic Healthcare platform in concert with Michigan Medicine.
You will partner with users on supporting improvements to school and university systems.
You will be a subject matter expert in the analysis and workflow of support requests.
You will build relationships with providers and staff to understand their needs clearly.
You have a detective mindset to solve problems and seek to understand root causes.
You work within a team and individually to complete work and support our customers.
You partner well with both technical and non-technical resources to deliver results.
You will develop documentation and testing plans to support end users and technical partners.
You will receive training on our current and prospective electronic health record platform during the onboarding process.
You will have a combination of on-campus responsibilities and remote work opportunities.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

2+ years of professional experience in an analyst role or comparable.

1+ years of experience in needs gathering and requirements analysis in at least one of the following areas: business processes, clinical workflows or production systems.

1+ years of experience documenting business requirements, creating scope documents, and standard operating procedures.

Experience working with customers/end-users in support and project-level capacity.
