Responsibilities*

Maintenance of a transgenic mouse colony.
Tumor xenografting via subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, renal capsule, and orthotopic placement.
Tumor growth monitoring by caliper measurement or imaging.
Pre-operative preparation and performance of aseptic surgery
Administration of therapeutic drugs via subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, IV, and oral gavage delivery.
Mouse necropsy and histological tissue processing (paraffin embedding/ sectioning).
Cell culture (IC50, xenograft preparation, tumor organoid models).
DNA/ RNA isolation, PCR.
Protein isolation, Western blot.
Record keeping, including animal inventory, experimental procedure logs, protocols/ SOPs.
Management of animal protocol in eRAM.
Basic lab management/ EHS compliance.
Required Qualifications*

Bachelor’s degree or higher with specialization in cell biology or a related field.
At least 2 years’ biology lab experience.
Experience in cell culture, DNA/RNA/protein isolation, PCR genotyping, qPCR, Western blotting.
Basic mouse handling experience.
Ability to work in an environment in which one is exposed to animals/ animal dander.
Knowledge and understanding of laboratory safety and ability to work carefully with potentially harmful agents.
